Desk posture and desk or workstation assessments are vital to your health at work, and involve a specialist in workstation assessor visiting you at your workplace to discuss your individual needs and reviewing the equipment you use (chair, desk, monitor, keyboard, mouse, phone etc) and its positioning on your desk to ensure that it is the most suitable for your needs.

This assessment is not only a employer’s legal responsibility but also a valuable tool to ensure maximum comfort for individuals. In turn, this minimises the risk of injury, thus increasing productivity in the work place. See our DSE Assessment package for a number of brief individual assessments performed in the workplace, for prevention of symptoms and discomfort.

It is also beneficial for a specialist to undertake the assessment in cases where an individual has pain or fatigue symptoms or a diagnosed injury.  This will help to ensure that your workstation and environment are not contributing to your symptoms or impacting upon your recovery. See our Ergonomic Assessment package, for those experiencing symptoms for some time or with a medical diagnosis.

Currently we offer bespoke packages for many conditions and a whole range of services if they are needed, to suit your exact needs. See our list of Healthywork Services.

When standard instructions on worstation ergonomics didn’t result in any improvement in back pain, Alison provided expert professional guidance. This was constructive, practical and demonstrated the value of experience in this area.

Alison provided workstation assessments and advice during our relocation. Although we are a small organisation it was important to obtain professional and expert help and I would recommend Alison to others without hesitation. (Workstation Risk Assessments and Ergonomic Assessments 2012)

An Ergonomic Assessment provided by Healthywork was well worth the money. The chair has been set up correctly, and is now more comfortable for the user and we have purchased the desktop equipment they suggested and this along with correct layout and improved positioning has really helped towards resolving the discomfort experienced.

We all enjoyed our recent training update, it was really useful and informative. I have completed 2 ergonomic assessments since the training and I found it really helped.
